Landmark Creations Illuminates the Minnesota Zoo with Custom Inflatables
In 2021, KARE11 featured Landmark Creations for their pivotal role in the Minnesota Zoo’s Nature Illuminated exhibit. This enchanting event showcased 32 larger-than-life inflatables, including glowing penguins, bears, and other wildlife sculptures that captivated visitors during the holiday season.
Designed and fabricated by the Landmark Creations team in Burnsville, these inflatables brought the zoo to life after dark, combining artistry with technical expertise. President Stephanie Meacham shared insights on the creative process, revealing that the team began planning in the summer and completed the dazzling collection within two months. Landmark Creations, with a history dating back to 1986, continues to deliver imaginative and impactful inflatables for events, including this stunning collaboration with the Minnesota Zoo.

What Others Say About Landmark Creations
"We had the inflatable hockey player out in front of the coliseum and it caused such a crowd! Thanks for the professional job you and your company did for me!"
- Scott Adams, Liquid Box Inc.
"[There was] fun, excitement, and encouragement for everyone to actually walk under/through [the arch] and it worked. We have cheerleaders and small children at the finish line by the arch handing out stickers, saying ‘I did it.’ Before we had the arch, [people] would straggle in anywhere."
- Jackie Allen, March of Dimes
“The huge cereal bag could be seen from anywhere and was a nice draw to gather people to the tents we had set up.”
- Anika Hage, WatersMolitor
“The likeness to our company mascot was amazing. We used the balloon at the Winn Dixie Home & Garden show ... and we have had rave reviews.”
- Christy Bernard, Tony Chachere’s
“This has created tremendous buzz around town and we have received a great deal of compliments on the Big Tire. Exposure is my goal, and the inflatable does that better than anyone, including me, can do at these events. The Big Tire never takes a break, gets tired or has to take a call. It just keeps shining bright and the kids love it.”
- Ed Chaney, Ed Chaney Tire Center Inc.
"This year’s event was the highest attended in some time, and the [inflatable] astronaut, front and center on our Portico, was a great visible draw from all over the area."
- Dennis Bateman, Carnegie Science Center
