Landmark Creations' Custom Moon Person Inflatable Takes Center Stage at MTV VMAs, Produced by Matt Steinbrenner
Landmark Creations showcased its expertise in large-scale inflatables by producing a show-stopping 60-foot-tall Moon Person for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Conceived by stage producer Matt Steinbrenner, this awe-inspiring inflatable centerpiece was the highlight of the event at New York's UBS Arena, celebrating the VMAs' 40th anniversary with a forward-looking nod to MTV’s iconic brand.
The custom inflatable Moon Person, crafted from over 12,000 feet of material, stretched upward towards a vast inflatable moon, breaking from the traditional trophy pose for an enhanced stage presence. Steinbrenner emphasized the attention to detail that Landmark brought to the project, ensuring the piece looked as dynamic and solid as a monumental sculpture. With its visor and moon serving as projection screens, the Moon Person provided a visually immersive experience that captivated audiences, underscoring MTV's cutting-edge approach to stage design.
