Inflatable Tigerhead Tunnel is a Hit at Pre-Game Activities

Grambling State University received its inflatable tiger and was successful in using it for the SWAC Conference Championship football game, December 2, 2000. As you know, the institution was denied the use of the tiger during the Bayou Classic game, November 25, 2000 because NBC indicated that it was against their policy. That incident was indeed a blow to our spirit thrust. In Birmingham, Alabama, (SWAC Championship), we were vindicated. The "tiger" made its debut at the pre-game activities and was well received by the student-athletes and supporters. Pictures were made with the tiger and it was a big hit with the crowd. This item has now become a part of the Grambling mystique. Next season will include and introduction to the home crowd, as well as a name the Tiger Contest.
