Easy to Use and Comfortable to Wear, Inflatable Costumes Bring Energy and Life to Events

They swing. They sway. They walk up and hug you!  Most people are familiar with cold-air inflatables that are tethered to the ground. Many are also familiar with newer dynamic inflatables that are still tethered, but can flap and wiggle in the wind. Making their way up on the popularity list are inflatable costumes. What's the difference? Inflatable costumes let your character move around freely wherever he wants.

When you say "costume," the first image that comes to mind is most likely an outfit made of cloth. But inflatable character costumes offer some unique advantages ordinary material can't. For instance, inflatable costumes are truly unique. People are used to seeing costumes made of material, but the appearances, shapes and colors of inflatable costumes stand out in the crowd.

"Aren't Inflatable Costumes Hot?"

If you've ever worn a traditional costume, you know they can be quite uncomfortable. Heavy and hot are the two words that most often describe the experience.  Inflatable costumes, however, are equipped with a battery-operated fan system that straps to the waist of the wearer.  This keeps them much cooler than you might expect.  As for the weight, traditional mascot costumes can add as much as 20 pounds to your load.  And that doesn't include the other layers (such as cold packs for the neck and body or special undergarments) that have to be worn as well.  On the other hand, inflatable costumes are made of lightweight vinyl and are filled with air.  It's more like wearing a swimming pool float than a costume.

"Are Inflatable Costumes Difficult to Wear?"

You can dress in an inflatable costume in under 4 minutes [printable inflatable costume instructions]. It takes just six simple steps including:

  1. Put the fully charged battery into the blower pack and connect it to the blower.
  2. Attach the costumer blower tube to the blower flange.
  3. Step into the customer legs and attach the shoes using adjustable Velcro straps.
  4. Put the blower pack on the support belt and clip the belt into place.
  5. Slip the rest of the costume on and inflate by turning on the blower and closing the zipper.
  6. Make any necessary final adjustments for the performer's viewing and comfort.

That's it! Your inflatable mascot costume is ready to walk, jump, shake hands, give hugs and fully interact with the crowd. If you think a photo or tethered inflatable drove on-lookers wild, just wait until they see the living, "breathing" version. Kids and adults alike will be doing double takes… and isn't that really what marketing is all about?

Improved Design Makes Inflatable Costumes from Landmark Creations Even Better

These new costumes have:

  • A more breathable design which is comfortable and a pleasure to wear, even for extended periods of time.
  • A longer battery run time, giving you up to one hour of continuous use. (Extra batteries are available so you can keep one charging at all times.)
  • Quieter fan units which add to the wearer's comfort and greatly reduce noise.

But even better than all that, we'll soon offer special carrying bags that house your complete costume package neatly and attractively. This will make it even easier to transport your inflatable wherever you go.

If you already own an inflatable sports tunnel, an inflatable costume of your mascot is a natural fit. If your business is restricted by zoning regulations that prevent the use of giant balloons or signage, inflatable costumes can save the day. If you participate in parades, trade shows, mobile marketing or other events that require face-to-face marketing, inflatable costumes are a must-have.

- What Others Say About Landmark

"Just wanted to say how much we LOVE our inflatables.  We tested them in our lobby where they were, of course, an instant hit for school group photos. Our leadership was quite pleased with the durability and the realism."
