Mando the Tiger E-mail

inflatable tiger mascotMando the Inflatable Mascot Sells Suzukis

Over the course of several months, Suzuki car dealer, Pete Sanchez, and his young artist friend developed the concept for a mascot they could use in several ways.  The reality of their efforts was Mando the tiger.  He started out as a costume and then moved into a caricature that stands in front of the children's play area at Katy Mills Mall (the most visited area of the mall since its grand opening in may of 07).  But Mando didn't stop there.  Next he was transformed (with the help of Landmark Creations) into an inflatable mascot that towered 20 feet high.

This custom inflatable balloon was produced with exacting detail and was identical to the other images of Mando found in the town of Katy Mills, which helped keep their branding in tact.  Mando has now taken his place on the roof of the Suzuki dealership where he is a permanent resident.

Did the inflatable mascot accomplish the goals Sanchez laid out?  Absolutely!  He wanted visibility and recognition and, as Sanchez exclaims, "We have a landmark!"  (We think that should be Landmark with a capital "L.")  With his new custom inflatable balloon, the Suzuki dealership has created an icon that people look for as they travel back and forth in the area.  And giving directions to the dealership is easier than ever.  They just tell customers to look for the massive tiger on the roof!

Valenzano Wine Bottle E-mail

inflatable wine bottleValenzano Winery Product Replica Edges Out Competition

Anthony Valenzano had a problem.  "We wanted to be noticed as a prominent winery among 25 competitors.  We needed visible signage that stood out and made a grand impression.  These events are always on open fields so wind has always been an issue with signage making many banners and stands not practical."  What's a winery to do when they need to stand out in a crowd and be noticed?  Of course, this is a perfect application for giant advertising balloons.

Crafting a product replica with great accuracy, Landmark Creations brought the Valenzano product to life right before the eyes of their customers and their competition. After all, if your competition is using signage that flaps in the breeze and you've pull out the big guns with a Landmark product replica, who do you think would walk away with more visibility?

Anthony continues, "Our 15-foot [giant advertising balloon] accomplished our goals.  It stood several feet higher than the entrance to our tent and was one of the first things that people noticed as they entered the festival grounds.  I could tell that our competitors were hoping the balloon took off and blew away but it didn’t budge."  Just the way it should be.  And, Anthony got an added bonus that day.  People were literally lining up to have their picture taken with the inflatable bottle that had the Valenzano logo right on the front.  Now that's some excellent viral marketing!

Why did Valenzano choose Landmark over all the others? "I priced [product replicas] with several companies and when I got on the phone with Tom from Landmark I could tell right away that he was a professional, honest and straight forward. From then on, it was a no-brainer."  We couldn't agree more!

Topcon Inflatable Globe E-mail

inflatable earth topconUnique Inflatable Globe Breaks New Ground

When you think "inflatables" the first things that typically come to mind are product replicas, tents and sports tunnels.  However, at Landmark Creations we recently used our capability to produce digitally printed artwork to craft a distinctive inflatable globe.  Not the usual 360-degree round version, but a backlit unique inflatable with one flat side that was hoisted to the ceiling.

Landmark was enlisted by Exhibitgroup/Giltspur to develop a display for the Topcon Positioning Systems booth. As the centerpiece of the exhibit, the inflatable needed to be eye-catching and engaging.  Digital artwork was wrapped around a skeleton then backlit with two T4 florescent lights which remain cool and are also ecologically friendly.  The result of this innovative thinking?  A beautiful reproduction that simulated looking down on the earth from up in space.

Was something this creative well received?  It sure was!  This unique inflatable garnered numerous flattering comments by attendees at the Las Vegas Conexpo Show.  It will no doubt be used repeatedly at upcoming tradeshows in order to repeat the positive reaction again and again.

Bucky Badger Inflatable E-mail

inflatable badger mascotBucky Badger Inflatable Mascot Really Gets Around

Thanks to the University of Wisconsin's Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA), the school now has a new inflatable mascot that's been turning heads all over campus.  With student organizations, the homecoming committee, the alumni association and the athletic department clamoring for the Bucky character inflatable to make an appearance at their events, this 20-foot-tall tough guy has really been getting around.

A custom creation (as all character inflatables are), Bucky is one of a kind. From his designer sweater to the fearsome snarl on his face and pumped up biceps, this inflatable mascot lets everyone know he means business.

The WAA had some specific goals in mind when they ordered Bucky including drawing attention to events, increasing "badger spirit," adding fun and excitement, and branding the WAA.  Have they accomplished their goals?  "When we put on the events and the media is there, Bucky is always sure to be included in the photo." In addition, reactions from students and alums to this character inflatable have been very positive.

All that's left to say is, "Gooooooooooo Badgers!"

"Mardi" the Mardi Gras Parade Float E-mail

inflatable dogThe bell of the ball for sure, "Mardi" made her debut at the 2008 Mardi Gras on Main Street parade in DeLand, Florida.  Sponsored yearly by Krewe of Amalee, this event features parade floats, dogs and people all dressed in festive Mardi Gras attire.

According to Pam Rintz, Chairwoman of the Mardi Gras on Main Street committee, "Krewe of Amalee is a ladies' carnival organization. Our purpose is to support the Museum of Florida Art and the Sands Theater at the Cultural Arts Center in DeLand."  To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they enlisted Landmark Creations to help "whelp" a new inflatable mascot pup, "Mardi."

With proceeds going to assist with youth arts programs through the museum, Mardi Gras on Main Street has made quite an impact on its community.  The sheer enjoyment of dressing up and watching parade floats go by is something kids of all ages enjoy.  Thanks to the sponsorship opportunities "Mardi" brings, they should be able to raise even more in years to come.

Inflatable mascots can be "outfit" with a number of sponsor-laden gear including vests, collars, beads, hats and banners.  Selling sponsorships on the "Mardi" parade float will allow the committee to quickly recoup its investment.

Why Landmark?  According to Rintz, "After researching several companies, we found them to be the most helpful and easy to work with. We would recommend Landmark to anyone."  That's what we love to hear!

KHCW-TV Inflatable Tent E-mail

inflatable tentKHCW-TV wanted something non-traditional that would increase their visibility at the many events they attend each year.  After visiting Landmark Creations' website, they were impressed with what they saw and decided a custom inflatable tent would work well for their purposes.  They haven't been disappointed!

Not solely for one specific project, KHCW-TV has truly given their inflatable tent a workout.  As creative advertising ideas came to mind, the station would arrange to participate in various shows and appearances.

inflatable tent on location

Station officials boast, "The [inflatable] tent has definitely increased our visibility at events. It generates lots of traffic and curiosity. Everyone seems to want to visit the tent to see what’s going on in there. The size and unusual shape of the tent makes us something of an anchor or a destination at events, and often dwarfs others booths and displays. Used in combination with show signage and cardboard character cutouts, the [inflatable] tent looks like a fun and inviting place to be. Also, having our own tent often simplifies our setup because we are not dependent on event-specific displays. We always have our consistent space that we utilize in our predetermined way."

It doesn't get much better than that!
